Meaghan is my second shooters sister, so I was honored they trusted me to capture their wedding day for them. It was a fantastic wedding, complete with a surprise viennese desert bar for the guests. Domenic’s mom also baked some traditional Italian cookies to add. This is the first wedding I photographed that incorporated a handfasting, or the literal tradition of “tying of the knot”. I also incorporated a hand fasting into my own wedding ceremony. First wedding for me where I have had Groomswomen. We started the day at the Marriott for getting ready, did some quick formals, then headed over to the Roger Williams Park for the outdoor wedding ceremony. The cover of clouds showed up just in time for the processional, then proceeded to give way to clear sky’s just after the family formals in time for the perfect golden hour sun for the bride and groom portraits. We drove around the park for pictures for a bit, then headed back over to the Providence Marriott for the wedding reception. They couldn’t have chosen a better song to dance their first dance to than Led Zeppelin’s “Thank You”. They are expecting an addition to their family at the end of the year.
