Erin & Dennis’s Wedding at The Publick House Historic Inn, Sturbridge, MA

Erin and Dennis were married at The Publick House Historic Inn in Sturbridge, MA. The ceremony was held outdoors by the gazebo, and the reception held in the tent. Erin and Dennis are medieval reenactors and love shakespeare. The theme of the wedding was a Midsummer’s Night Dream. Most of the details of the wedding came from Etsy, Erin designed the programs. As a fairy collector myself, I loved all the fairy elements. They had an unplugged wedding which as a photographer I enjoyed. Erin and Dennis exchanged letters prior to the wedding ceremony. It was sweet watching Erin open the box that Dennis had created for her, it contained the letter, rose petals, massage oils, tootsie rolls, and a key to his heart. Thank you to Brian Sullivan for second shooting with me and capturing Dennis reading his letter from Erin. If you are a gamer, you would appreciate the cool 20 sided dice cufflinks. During cocktail hour the guests got to enjoy a bacon bar (how cool). There were a lot of firsts for me at this wedding, first wedding with a bacon bar, first time I ever heard Loreena McKennitt played at a wedding, and first time I saw a bride, groom and guests drinking out of a beautifully carved horn. While I have photographed a ton of weddings at the Publick House, it was the first time photographing in the tent. Without further ado, here are a few of my favorite images from the wedding day.
