Danielle and Justin’s Wedding at Salem Cross Inn West Brookfield June 18, 2011
I know I am behind in blogging my most recent weddings, it is non-stop saturdays until the end of November for me. I am mostly all caught up at the moment so I will be going on a posting frenzy this week.
I photographed Danielle and Justin’s wedding at the Salem Cross Inn in West Brookfield, MA back in June. It was a beautiful late spring (just about Summer) outdoor wedding ceremony in front of the gazebo. Here are a couple of my favorite images of the day.
I have never seen a bride and bridesmaids get ready so quickly. Danielle and her girls arrived with their hair already done, she had makeup applied and was dressed within 20 minutes time. Amazing.
The flower girl was so cute. I love it when the little ones can’t stop looking at themselves in the mirror when they are all dolled up like princesses. They feel so special.
Danielle had her mom and dad walk her down the aisle.
Love love love this one. I spotten this red barn over on the other side of the Inn and I knew I needed to incorporate into a bride and groom portrait. Played a little in photoshop to make it pop.
They were both fairly nice when feeding each other their wedding cake.
Justin’s grandma was tearing up the dance floor with all her grandchildren. I hope I still have that much energy at that age.
They had a fun bubble send off during the last dance.
Melanie and Karen’s Wedding at Tower Hill Botanic Garden, West Boylston, MA
Melanie and Karen were married at Tower Hill Botanic Garden Memorial Day weekend. They were such a delight to work for. I was with Karen for the getting ready portion and she was so laid back and unstressed, even though she graduated with her MBA just the week before, and Mel also graduated Medical School the same weekend. They are also planning a move a week after they get back from their honeymoon. We had fun playing a game of scrabble before she got into her dress. Then we headed over to Tower Hill Botanic Garden in West Boylston for a beautiful ceremony and then to the Orangerie (also at Tower Hill) for the wedding reception. I have a lot of favorites from this wedding. Below are some of them.
I absolutely love that I can see the bride in both mirrors.
There is a story behind the faces. When I was photographing their engagement session back last summer, Mel told me she had a look that she was going to give me in all the photos, so when I asked her about it at the wedding, this was the face, and Karen’s reaction to it.
Kim & Mark’s Wedding at Cyprian Keyes Golf Club in Boylston, MA
Kim & Mark were married back in April at the Cyprian Keyes Golf Club in Boylston MA. They had an intimate wedding ceremony on the grounds and we had a beautiful weather that evening. You could really tell how in love with each other they are. Here are a couple of my favorite images from their wedding day photography.
Christina and Jeffrey Sturbridge Host Hotel Wedding August 21st Part II
Here is part 2 of Christina and Jeffrey’s outdoor wedding in the pavilion at The Sturbridge Host Hotel. Right next to a lake, it makes a perfect backdrop for an outdoor ceremony and reception. Christina was so overjoyed after the ceremony, she could hardly believe she is now married! Congrats to you both! Here are a few of my favorites from the wedding day festivities. Stayed tuned for lots of new blog posts, Melanie and Karen’s engagement session at Greenhill Park, wedding timeline tips and 2 more fabulous weddings.
Christina & Jeffrey’s outdoor wedding at Sturbridge Host Hotel, Sturbridge, MA Sneak Peak
Christina and Jeff were married on 8/21/2010 at the Sturbridge Host Hotel in Sturbridge, MA. They had an outdoor ceremony and the reception was also outdoors under the pavilion. It was a beautiful cloudy day (as a wedding photographer, I love cloudy days, it is like a large softbox in the sky). This was a really fun bridal party. I just had to post the following images from a rather traditional pose with a twist! I was laughing hysterically at this series while I was going through the first pass on the images from the day. The look on Christina’s face in the last image is priceless. I am still processing the rest of the images, but I thought I would share!
Cindy & Mike’s wedding @ Indian Meadows Sept 20th
I had the pleasure of working with Melissa Larini on Cindy & Mike’s wedding reception at the Indian Meadows Country Club in Westborough, MA. Cindy & Mike had already eloped prior and have an adorable 8 mo son, pictured below.
Leicester Country Club
I have a few events to post in the next few days or so. I am a little behind in my editing. I finally got my new Lightroom 2 software in. I was using the beta version, but it expired the end of August. So I have 2 weddings, a maternity session and my cousin’s baby’s first B-day party to post. So keep a look out for those, hopefully by the end of the week.
So onto the wedding at the Leicester Country Club with Diaz Digital Discoveries. The flower girls were the most adorable little girls, one was the daughter of the Bride and Groom and the other was their neice. The couple incorporated the Scottish handfasting tradition of “tying of the knot”, where the modern term of tying the knot originated. Tying the knot originated from the bride and groom ripping their wedding plaids (clan tartans) and tying the two strips together as a symbol of the unity of the two families. They had a modern version and in this ceremony a white cord was used.
