Elopement at Old Stone Church in West Boylston, MA
Darcy and her long time fiance eloped at the Old Stone Church in West Boylston MA in March. They have been together for awhile and it was both their second marriages, so they wanted something small, simple and stress free. It was attended by them, the officiant and I. This is my first elopement, they had contacted me just a few days before the ceremony and I had the date available. Here are a couple of my favorite images from their elopement ceremony.

I am so excited to see my images published for the first time in print. Bride and Groom magazine published Tara and Matt’s wedding at Harding Allen Estate in the Nearby Nuptials section of the magazine. The latest spring issue just hit the newsstands, it came out on Wednesday, heard all about it, and finally picked up a copy last night! I know it isn’t a huge deal, but it feels really exciting!
We were also featured in an article on color blocking.

Kimberly & Jason’s wedding at Publick House Historic Inn in Sturbridge, MA
Alas, here is my 5th wedding in a row this winter/spring at the Publick House Historic Inn in Sturbridge, MA (4th just in 2012 so far, there will be a few more this summer as well). Next weekends wedding will bring about a change of venue as we are heading off to Cape Cod! Kimberly and Jason held their faith inspired wedding ceremony at the Federated Church of Sturbridge which is located across the street from Publick House. We all headed over to Paige Hall for the wedding reception. Here are a few of my favorite images from the day.
Annie & Josef’s wedding at Publick House Historic Inn in Sturbridge, MA
Annie and Joe were married at the Publick House Historic Inn in Sturbridge, MA last month. They had a beautiful church ceremony at the Notre Dame Church in Southbridge, MA. Reception was held in Paige Hall. Another Publick House couple who really liked the Beatles. First dance was to “Something”, and the favors had a John Lennon/Paul McCartney quote attached. Love the custom converse sneakers. Here are a few of my favorite images from the day.
The 2012 Season
I am so excited for this wedding photography season, I am so looking forward to working with great couples at all the great wedding venues this year. My wedding season began in January with photographing three winter weddings at the Publick House Historic Inn in Sturbridge, MA, and an elopement at The Old Stone Church in West Boylston, MA. Kristie and Anthony were married at the Publick House Historic Inn located in Sturbridge, MA. Publick House is becoming a very popular wedding venue for a lot of my clients, particularly for a winter wedding. Since November I have photographed 4 weddings there. My next wedding in April is there as well. I don’t mind, as it is not too far from my house. All the festivities happened at The Publick House. Ceremony and Reception were held in Paige Hall, with the cocktail hour in the barn. Some of the vendors that helped create thier special day:

Karen and Jack’s winter wedding at The Publick House Historic Inn, Sturbridge, MA
Karen and Jack were married in January at The Publick House Historic Inn in Sturbridge, MA. (Many more weddings to blog from the Publick House), seems like a popular place to hold a winter themed wedding. Just got back from another one there today! The whole wedding was held there from getting ready to the ceremony and reception in Paige Hall. The Publick House kept up all their christmas decorations, with a gorgeous tree that the wedding ceremony was held in front of. Here are a couple of my favorite images of the day.
This antique cake topper was a family heirloom that has seen many generations of weddings in the brides family.
One of Karen’s bridesmaids had a slideshow created from family photographs of the two of them growing up. It brought out lots of laughs.
Heather & Josh’s wedding at Zukas Hilltop Barn, Spencer, MA
We started off the day at Heather’s parents home for getting ready shots and some outdoor portraits of the bridesmaids and family while Laura Pineda, my second shooter, started with the guys over at the commons in front of the church for groomsmen portraits and his family formals. Heather & Josh were married at First Congregational Church in West Brookfield, MA on 11/11/11 on veterans day. Josh is active military and had just arrived back to the states for the wedding, so they hadn’t seen each other for awhile. After the ceremony we headed over to Zukas Hilltop Barn just in time for sunset and we were able to get all the bridal party and couple portraits done outside before it got dark. We headed indoors for the family formals. Always a concern at that time of year, especially after day light savings. When planning your wedding, if you want outdoor portraits, make sure you look at the sunset times for your wedding date. Here is a helpful website http://www.weather.com/outlook/events/weddings/planning/sunset. Best time for outdoor portraits are 1-2 hours prior to sunset. The cute pink bride teddy bears from Build a bear workshop were given as gifts to her two cousins who were flower girls, so cute. There is also a photograph of the custom guest book we created using images from their engagement session I photographed last spring at the Tower Hill Botanic Garden in West Boylston. A great winter location for garden-like engagement photos. Without further ado here are a bunch of my favorites from this wedding. It was so hard narrowing it down.
Dawnrae and Aaron’s Wedding at Publick House Historic Inn, Sturbridge, MA
Dawnrae and Aaron were married at the Publick House Historic Inn in Sturbridge, MA. I have shot a bunch of weddings there recently as it is very local to me. Dawnrae and Aaron had met on match.com and created a cool commercial that they played during the reception for their guests. How creative. The ceremony was held in Paige Hall as well as the wedding reception after cocktail hour in the barn. The color scheme was purple and green and Michele Bernard did a fabulous job with the flowers for the wedding. DJ Paul Giroux “Got the party started”. Dawnrae wore a beautiful Paloma Blanca wedding gown. Below are a few of my favorite images from the day!
